This is what Stolen Thoughts is all about...
The main theme of Stolen Thoughts is childhood, or rather the loss of it - the process of reaching adulthood. Does a man really want to become a grown-up? Or maybe he prefers to remain Peter Pan? What does adulthood really mean? We often hear adults talk about the "good old times"... Maybe we need somebody to help us mature? Maybe the parents aren´t enough. A man can be physically mature but not necessarily emotionally. He simply may not be ready for this. Why as babies we are born pure, have always smiles on our faces, are sincere and disinterested? Statistically a child laughs 300 times a day and a grown-up only 47... What is the reason behind this? As children we easily and eagerly learn, we are curious. The adults offer advice and help us. We enjoy everything - butterflies, kites, uddles, rain. Childhood is a paradise from which we are finally expelled. We lose creativity, we feel the burden of everyday life, there are taxes, problems, diseases. Where do we seek help? In the erroneous system where media bombard us with bad news everyday? In addictions? Or maybe in other people? In love?
